San Jacinto College Maritime

The San Jacinto College Maritime Campus is a Center of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education, located on the waterfront at the Port of Houston. The campus features a modern 45,000 square-foot training center equipped with state-of-the-art simulation labs, engineering simulators, training docks, and industry aligned facilities designed to prepare mariners for careers on inland, near-coastal, and blue water vessels.

San Jacinto College offers U.S. Coast Guard approved STCW complaint training for all levels of mariners, from entry level to advanced officers. Programs include degree pathways, certificates, and extensive professional mariner continuing education. The college is home to Texas’ first Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Maritime Transportation, combining academic coursework with hands-on maritime skills training, internships, and required practical sea experience.
